He called up the local charity and placed several donations over the phone, each under different fictional names. Two of those fake names were Art Spanogle and Gerald Rathbone.

Three days later, while looking over the promotions that had come in so far, Rob found cards with the names Art Spanogle and Gerald Rathbone, thus confirming his suspicions.

Rob returned to the gas station later that evening while Chad was working his usual shift.

When there were no customers in the store, Rob called Chad into his office. Once Chad had taken a seat, Rob tossed the two charity promotion cards onto the desk in front of Chad where he could see the names printed on them.

“Do you recognized either of those names?” Rob asked calmly.

“No…” answered Chad, looking a little uncomfortable.

“You don’t remember these names at all?” continued Rob, incredulous.

“I mean, I remember ringing up those promotions last night if that’s what you mean.”

“Oh I don’t doubt that,” responded Rob. “I don’t doubt that at all.”
